First time on board!
I am consistently losing signal even in good weather. Signal strength is variable. Is it likely to be my box, or the connection to my box? Getting very frustrating.
Can any one make any suggestions, or should I call out a man?

it's probably down to your lack of information.

OK for example I left home this morning signal strength was 70, quality 50. Weather clear which has been an issue for us. I am satisfied that my dish is reasonably well aligned, as it has been in place without any major issues for 4.5 years. This afternoon, no signal received message is coming up, signal strength 0, quality the same. Connection with wall plug seems a little loose, but has not been touched (to my knowledge - maybe kids been exploring...).
I can only surmise that if my dish is aligned, my connections are sound (will check) that it can only be my receiver. Am I missing any possibilities? Cheers

so what are you trying to receive? What is your satellite box? Have you checked all the cable is good, especially to the LNB stuck on the dish? Is the dish exposed to the elements?

If it's a Grundig, Amstrad or Panasonic Sky Digibox, I'd say the box is on the way out.
