Watching Cabel TV from back home in Switzerland

Hi folks,

I am looking for a method to watch scandinavian TV in Switzerland.

Found that Slingbox would be a method (http://www.ricardo.ch/kaufen/compute...v/an650816642/)

Anyone any thoughts about it?

It seems as if Cablecom cannot provide any channels i want and a satelitte dish is out of question :/

Many scandanavian channels are on 1 degree west, a box and a satellite dish pointing at the right satellite may be your solution. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. http://www.lyngsat.com/1west.html

We have the slingbox, we use to watch American TV. We had my brother connect it to his cablebox in the US, and it works very well.

We had some issues with Slingbox (set up in the USA) and had to constantly contact the friend "housing" it for us to reset it. We ended up getting a USA VPN instead so that we can watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. and have been very very happy with that. I believe it cost about $70/year.
