Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

can someone share the latest links for EPL Games?

Its not easy to get games on TV. Some of my Scottish friends have carried their Sky UK Subscriptions to Switzerland. Is that legal?

Did NONE of the links on the thread work for you?

In terms of Sky being legal, I don't know if "illegal" is the right word ie I don't think you would be prosecuted for it in practice (although somebody will tell you that it is a remote possibility). It isn't permitted by Sky though so you'd need to maintain a UK address and you cannot contact them to solve issues and you can't use any of the "dial up" services either

Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

Was wondering what people's experience of english football on Swisscom is.

I used to have it over Teleclub but cancelled it a couple of years ago cause the coverage became ridiculous. I'll be moving soon and don't think it would be a good way to start the renting relationship by boxing through my right to satellite TV as it says on the contract in bold that satellite TV is strictly forbidden. I've refused to switch to Swisscom as the don't offer HD which is for me a minimum for the price is costs. My new appartment has this at least

So to my question. Do Teleclub on Swisscom offer the full coverage of football?

So 3 games on Saturday, 13.45, 16.00, 18.30
and at least 2 games on Sunday, 14.30 and 17.00
plus a game on Monday night.

And how much of this is in HD?

Thanks for any answers

Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

RE. satellite. They cannot bar you from watching satellite - the only thing they can do it stop you from having a permanent dish on your balcony/attached to the building. However you could always run a 'portable' dish. As long as it's not permanently fixed, they cannot say anything.

Personally I survive with MOTD (in HD) from my cable provider (included in basic package) and the occasional internet stream (sopcast via VMware Fusion, Veetle / flash in browser) if I really want to watch a game (and can get away with it).

I tried Swisscom TV for a couple of months last year, but could not justify the cost and so cancelled it.

Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

Thanks. I know they can't ban me from having a satellite on my terrase. Those responsible for the appartment are pretty friendly towards me. I'm just not quite sure it's the best way to start the renting relationship by going against their wishes and setting up one regardless of what they say.

I've got a feeling boxing through my rights could come back to hunt me when the tables are turned.

Maybe I'll ask if one of these is acceptable as a comprimise when I see them but I doubt it. The problem with them is that they^re apparently as good as a 60cm satellite which is likely not big enough to receive the Astra 2d channels going by the maps on the internet

Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

Thanks I'm planning to try out that one in the near future as my regular website only has football games.

Define HD though. In my experience HD internet streams are roughly the same to analogue cable connection but are definitely well of TV HD standards

Anyway I'll have to check where it will placed but I'm probably going to give this a try It's the satellite above designed to look like a chair

Teleclub on Swisscom is almost exactly the same as the teleclub standalone package. The only difference is that you will have more than 3 sports channels, and sometimes (rarely), you will get the matches that the normal teleclub is not showing. The problem though is that teleclub tends to show Swiss League matches and also Ice Hockey playoffs, and if that is on as the same time as the EPL, then you are out of luck. You don't have this problem with Satellite, but sometimes EPL games get bumped by Bundesliga games - this has only become a problem this season. Also, the English commentary is also now gone.
