Premier League on swiss tv??

Been looking around for the possibility of watching English footy in Switzerland. The only thing I have found is The Teleclub offers where you have to sign upto a 40chf package before paying an extra 10chf for the sport.

Is there anything else out there or French/Italien etc channels that show games??

Any help/advice appreciated xx

There is nothing out there for free. You need to pay money.

Cablecom and Swisscom have TV offerings, Teleclub gives little choice in matches. Going satellite gives more choice and you can get some subscriptions to make it "legal". Most games come with English audio.

Do note that Sky won't give you the 3pm Saturday kick-offs whereas others will. Some providers have more (all) matches, some have only a few (Teleclub on cable, for example, has far less than Teleclub via satellite).

Only Sky UK won't give you the 3pm Sat matches. Other continental providers such as Sky.de, Sky Italia, Canal +, etc. will.

Alternatively, avoid knowing the results after full time and settle down with a few beers and some munchies, for an evening with Gary and the boys for MotD.

Just the best bits and goals from all Saturday Premiership games.

Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

Telebclub on Cablecom only has 3 channels and their priority is Swiss and German leagues. They show some EPL games, for example the Newcastle - Arsenal game but I wouldnt get Teleclub on Cablecom to watch the EPL - you'll be disappointed.

Swisscom are offering more choice now where you can pick the match you want to watch but again, EPL doesnt seem to feature in the list. Could be wrong though.

You're best bet is to stream the game or if you want it on your TV the look into the satellite option

... 45 minutes of Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea's 1-0 wins, 35 secs of a 4-3 thriller from mid-table and then the pally permatan "boys" give their analysis, i.e. saying that their mates in the England squad are world class.

EPL matches on Teleclub Live would be awesome, but failing that Match of the Day with the format/presenters of the Football League Show would do for me!

Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

Another possible option could be canal+ which you can get through Swisscom According to their website they would have shown Spurs-Everton at 16h, Newcastle-Arsenal afterwards and then the Liverpool-Sunderland game, tomorrow they show the Chelsea and United game and also Real-Barca. On monday it's then Man City's turn.

So basically you've got full coverage of the premier league. At 55 Fr it's around the same price as teleclub (which probably isn't a coincidence) but as my French isn't the best it I couldn't justify the costs. I have no idea though how the service is with Swisscom though. I don't even have a Swisscom connection.

If you want the 16h kick off over sky then what you would need to get is an Irish sky card Setanta shows those games.

I used to have teleclub. Earlier their priority was the Premier league along with the Bundesliga but they have taken the quantity over quality approach and the priority seems to be Super League, Nati A Eishockey, Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, Tennis/golf magazines and then Premier league. I cancelled my subscription almost a year ago after 6 years with them giving that exact reason.

I've now given up on any local solution. I'm hoping to be able to move into a satellite-friendly flat soon and till then I'll watch the games at my local pub and I've invested the teleclub money in a high speed internet connection so I can have reliable streams (and download the newest films pretty fast)

A site which I'll be streaming from today is this

It's £2 per day or £6 per month. I tried it out last year and I'll be giving it ago today. The stream is reliable and didn't buffer once. It will also play on the PS3 browser so you can watch on your TV. I would say the quality of the stream is acceptable but nothing compared to the local pub

Swisscom announced some time in summer 2010 that they would be starting to show Premier League games, but it never happened...

myp2p.eu is where I stream, usually okay. If you have a PC rather than mac like me then you can get Sopcast and get some very good streams.

Thanks for the link - I can't be bothered to read through all the instructions and install whatever I need to install today, but I will definitely be looking into it in time for the midweek games.

I have both a Mac and a PC; any insight as to whether one or the other is "better" for this kind of thing? I am a complete novice in terms of streaming.

I get most of my links from this site:

http://www.footballstreaming.info/streams/todays-links/

90% of the time there is a working stream for the game I want to watch

Good to hear. The Liverpool stream came back up but only after 30 min or so. The Sopcast stream was so good though that I stuck with it.

In the past I've used the streams posted on myp2p.eu but I've found them generally to be unreliable. The problem as well is you'll only really find out how good a stream really is after kick off when everyone tunes in. If your unlucky though it'll then take you 10-20 min to then find a good one.

Yesterday though the story was the exact opposite. The paid stream crashed and the first link I tried on myp2p was perfect so maybe the quality of the free streams have improved

For Mac;

Go to myp2p.eu
click on the Live Sports tab
Click on the game you want to watch (click on the small tv on the right hand side)
Find a stream that has a green circle with "other" written next to it.
Give it a few seconds and it should come up in the browser.
Some work better than others, some have better quality, just keep trying them and you'll start to learn the good links from the bad.

For PC (if memory serves me correctly) you need to download a Sopcast player (google should find you one) Then instead of clicking on the "other" links, just click on the Sopcast links.

Not tried it in Switzerland but back in the UK it would take about 5 minutes to load up, but once it did it was usually the best quality. I used Virtual PC on my mac and it worked a treat.

Re: Premier League on swiss tv??

Just interested to hear if the paid stream livefootyonline.com works without buffering? I mean is there a point to paying money for it, if you can get it for free anyway. I am a Liverpool fan but would also like to watch other games. So i am trying to find out if the site you recommended is worthing putting hopes on.

Thanks in advance!

I tried livefootyonline.com. It seems I need an invite from someone who is already a member. Would you be kind enough to send me one?
