Hey everyone

I have an iphone and a contract with 02 in the UK. I've had the contract for several years. I want to unlock my iphone 3gs so that I can insert my prepaid sim into it and use it in Switzerland. Does anyone know where I can get my phone unlocked in Zurich? In the UK there are lots of places willing to do this for a small fee no problem.

All help appreciated.

You might be able to do it online through o2 for free, just search google, I know a few who have.

If not and depending if you always update your phone software thru itunes you might not be able to unlock it - all depends what your firmware version is.

I also have an O2 contract, but not an iphone, just old fashioned nokia. I sent O2 an email asking them if I could keep the handset, and put swiss payg sim in. O2 were very helpful and have provided me with an unlock code for my phone. They've also done it for my husbands HTC. Not sure if iphone is different because its iphone?
