Are u saying you got siri on a 3gs ?
Siri is a feature on the 4S handset, not iOS 5 generally. Apple engineering have said there are no plans to support Siri on older devices.

Let's rephrase that: Apple marketing told Apple engineering to tell everyone else that there are no plans to support Siri on older devices. Considering the fact that Siri runs perfectly fine all the way down to the iPhone 3GS, this is a purely strategic decision.

Re: Apple IOS v5

iOS 5.0.1 is now out and claims to fix the 4S battery life completely.

5.0.1: The software for iPhone 'xxx yyy' was corrupted during download.. I am SO tired of this Apple ****. And yes, if I download it from any other source than Apple, it will be just fine. So now I need to do that.

No dawiz, that's not what I said. I linked to a quote from Apple - if you want to put your own interpretation on it that's up to you, but don't try to rephrase my post in order to do it.

This time the solution for me was to update the devices via WiFi. On my first WiFi iPhone update it ended in a download error but second download was a success! iPad update went through on the first try. Downloading the update directly with the 5.0 device is a lot faster since it will only download about 50MB instead of the ~750MB via iTunes update.

Re: Apple IOS v5

5.0.1 still doesn't fix the time zone setting bug as far as i can tell. I turned it back on again this morning, and it is still constantly polling the location services...

You just know that they fixed understanding Aussie Siri by introducing lager and slurred speech...

iOS 5.01 seems to be working for me. Left the lair with 94% charge at seven, been using phone and texting and still at 86% with Location Services on.

Does that eat into your data allowance?

Location services are GPS so no. It would eat into battery life though.

1hour and 7 mins of usage and down to 83%. Seems about the same to me

Im home now and it's at 43% after 5 hours usage and 10.5 hours standby. Not bad at all. I'm very pleased with that.

Re: Apple IOS v5

Yes, but for me it's in Dutch and English (since I am still in the Netherlands I guess). It's quite annoying, I hope they fix it soon!
