I'm going to buy a new Iphone for my wife and without mobile Internet this gadget should be absolutely useless )) Since we have Yallo prepaid, I'm thinking to switch to operator with cheaper Internet access (2CHf for 10Mb for a time being).
I found Migros mobile abo, which will be more expensive than Yallo, but with Internet.

I have no idea how much traffic we will generate.
How much you are generating when you are out of home WI-Fi network?
Do you know any other affordable tariffs?

I was on Sunrise prepaid and (at least last year) they had a packet where you could get 250MB browsing data a month for 7.50, which was one of the best deals at the time.

That sunrise deal is still there "Sunrise Surf". There's also the 1 CHF per day until midnight unlimited deal.

If anyone knows or finds out can you combine the two deals? If you know you're going to use a lot of data that day can you do the 1 CHF deal so it uses that for the day instead of taking from the 250MB pool. Maybe turn it off first then back on the next day? Would it then charge you 7.50 again?

the surf option is available in combination with Sunrise go dayflat in the Sunrise online shop. First month of surf option is offered for free currently.

this option can be renewed monthly. Also the dataflat (1.-/per Day unlimited) can be cancelled if it need be. Txt DATAFLAT Stop to 5522. Data transfer then costs CHF 0.10/20KB

flat (calls, sms, data) can individually be de-activated or re-activated.
