While doing my usual Sunday PM ironing and flicking through the tv channels, I found SF2 showing today's final game between France and the All Blacks. The commentary was basic, mostly educating the viewers on the rules, but my gosh this is a non-rugby speaking country...and they show the final only a few hours after it took place. What astonished me more, that it is the German region, and not the Swiss French or SwissItalian channels were playing it .

Well done SF2, I might even get something for that Bilag (...surely the program editors were not SVP ...)

My message was on Swiss TV coverage. No real surprise on the end results, everyone expected the AB's to win. But if you watched the game all credit to the French. They almost managed to astonish the world

It's always great to see a final match live up to the hype and actually be a great game.

Yeah, I got that part.

I don't think everyone expected a 1-point winning margin. And I don't think the world would have been astonished -- this was France's third appearance in the final of a RWC.

But back on topic, yes, I was surprised to hear that the game was on Swiss TV. 20 Minuten also ran a few articles on the RWC (buried quite deep, though).
