We are moving into town. I will be trying to have simple TV as I intend to learn German. I plan to use a Slingbox to watch TV from my parents home in Philadelphia. Looking for some info, if you can help.

(1) What it the fastest internet in Zug? Connection and company name.
(2) Are you required to have a land line or home phone?
(3) Do cable or DSL cable boxes from internet providers in Zug include WIFI, or should I bring/buy a wireless router?
(4) Looking at getting an iPhone and plan from SwissCom.... any concerns?

(4) - Swisscom, while they are a good network, the customer service is terrible. Often in their Zug store the phrase 'computer says no' springs to mind.

When you get to Zug go to a phone shop called 'Mobile Zone'. Its located in the 'Metalli'. They will sort you out a better deal for an iphone.

Swisscom is more flexible on service than WWZ. Once you terminate the service, Swisscom is more flexible but WWZ keep on sending bills for next three months.

speed too ,, swiscom is the best.

That's not my experience. Whenever you tell the guys in the WWZ shop in the metalli what you want to change, it's done within an hour at the latest and the speed for internet upload and download is fabulous.

I have found them very flexible, but I have encountered the same thing with the billing. I have just recieved a bill for November, even though I moved in August. Going to speak to them this week. Did they cancel the bill, or try and make you pay it ?

WWZ is scum I agree.
