yet another humpty iPhone question...

mrs. G bought me an i/phone 4S for a special event in my life recently , but as I already own an i/phone 4 ... can I simply take the chip out of the old one and put it in the new one and go happily on my way?

that of course leaves a dead -4 ... as we are both on Swisscom contracts can we go down there and upgrade her Nokia and get an Iphone sim?

( yes yes I know..easy route = just go to Swisscom and ask )

Point one: As long as the new phone is unlocked, or is locked to swisscom then you should be good to go. Just pop the SIM out of the old one and put it in the new one

Point two: Shouldn't be a problem as the iphone already works on swisscom. The only thing is that you're likely to be stung 40 chuffs for the new micro SIM, and there may be a bit of a wait while the old SIM is cancelled and the new SIM takes over - although that my not be so much of a problem these days.

you could try taking your sim to a local independent phone shop, they may have a sim cutter template thing to cut your old sim card down. you can buy them on ebay etc for a few quid, so buy one, cut your sim down, then sell the cutter for twice as much on here
