Asus ux31e i7 with english keyboard

I am in the market for one of these. Does anyone know where to source one with an english keyboard? Digitec only stocks "qwertz" models.

No, but it shouldn't be a problem. All the computers we've had in Switzerland have the same "qwertz" keyboard. You simply need to change the setting to a US/English one. It's usually in the Control Panel under the Clock/Language/Region settings. Then you just use it like a normal "querty" one.

Otherwise, you could enquire at Steg Computers to see if they might stock them. I doubt it though.

I have the Swiss German version of it - make sure you get a chance to try the trackpad and the keyboard before you buy one. The trackpad is pretty much the worst one I've ever used on any notebook. The keyboard requires a lot of force to type on.

Apart from that it's pretty sweet - the screen's beautiful, it's fairly fast (although the European version comes with a significantly slower SSD than the US counterpart), battery life is excellent.

Thanks for your inputs.

I do a lot of programming, so a full keyboard is attractive (not having to guess where to find the special symbols is a must.)

I guess I'll wait until another hi-res ultrabook comes out - or buy one when I am back in Oklahoma.
