| Cabled internet on Swisscom is 125CHF with an additional 149CHF for a wireless router. I have a few netgear routers coming over on my removal wagon, will these be OK or will I need to buy one from Swisscom (maybe better if it breaks down)? | |

This "wireless router" is actually a VDSL
modem, next to that it likely can do wireless too (and NAT it, which is not totally routing but that is what most people call it).
As such, unless your netgear boxes also have a VDSL port, you will need it.
The modems that Swisscom delivers are pretty customizeable and one can even put most of them in so called 'bridge' mode and disable wireless if wanted so that you can hook up any equipment directly to the VDSL and use that as your NAT box instead.
