do any of you know a recommended place to repair a TV near Schaffhausen?
any idea how long it should take and cost?
the TV is 2.5 years old

the fix is easy if you, or anyone you know, can solder, you just have to replace 5 or so capacitors on the power board, you can even buy the complete kit on ebay (although buying them yourself from RS, Maplin, or Conrad here is a lot cheaper)

Or if your not brave enough just replace the power board, again, its so common that ebay is full of repaired boards

Realistically its an hours work tops, the parts should be about 10chf, but this being switzerland I wouldn't like to hazzard a guess!!

I used it as an excuse to get a bigger tv

thanks for the advice to buy the part in Ebay! i actually didnt think about it even after reading the blog how to fix it since i am not brave enoghf i will go for the full power bord,
since we are packing our home in 4 days i guess i will send it as it is and order the part and do it upon arrival.

just make sure you order the correct board, iirc there are 3 different power boards, all have the same fault, so you may have to take the back off your tv to get the board part number

I have a Samsung too, 1 month old and last week end after the storm stop to work. The garantie don´t cover
Someone know where I can bring it ?

i know a place in Schaffhausen but i guess you will look for some place closer
