Im new so sorry if this is the wrong section. Ive just got my xbox 360, quite happy about that. I moved to switzerland and dont speak the language. All the games that are here I dont understand. Will games I buy from the uk or the states work on my machine? Thanks in advance for your help

Games you buy abroad will work fine.
Games you buy here will work fine as well but they will have german boxes/ instruction manuals. Some games can have the language changed but some can't.
When games are new, some shops stock english versions for the first couple of weeks, but for older games, the shops here will only have German editions.

amazon.co.uk is your friend. all in english, and they will take off the VAT because Switzerland isnt in the EU.

Sometimes however you have to pay customs charges to your postman, this can be about 15 chf.

i have a US 360 and found that it plays german games (PAL) fine (720p via component).

check around with some of your local indie game shops...here in basel there is one (gameboxx @ barfusserpl) that stocks english games for the 360 and pc, and the guys know their stuff (ie can tell you if a game has dual language track or not)
