The normal cost of s simcard is CHF 40 in Switzerland. Otherwise you have to search offers.
At the moment Aldi offer 'Surf2Go' USB Surf Stick with prepaid simcard is CHF 39.90, but that includes CHF 20 for calls.
You will need to complete a form with your name & address & show relevant ID that is normal for any simcard in Switzerland

Migros prepaid have the most basic phone and sim card for 29.95. If your current phone is unlocked there should be no problem taking the sim and putting it into your current phone...

How about 0 CHF? (It's 15 CHF if you don't use their mobile phone, I believe.) http://www.coop.ch/pb/site/mobile/no...Lde/index.html | | The following 3 users would like to thank adrianlondon for this useful post:

...... and if you call other mobiles, also on the Aldi Mobile (Sunrise) network, calls are also for free (0,14 to landlines, and 0,34 to other mobile networks). https://www.aldi-mobile.ch/angebote/starter-set.html | | This user would like to thank TiMow for this useful post:

thanks for the attention | | | | | Yes you need to fill in a form with your name and address & show either ID or passport. (this is usual is most countries now as part of anti-terrorists, ie they know who owns what phone number)
If you don't speak German, go to the counter where they sell cigarettes, lotto tickets or the Information Desk, "ask do you speak English", they may find someone to help you, go in a quiet time.
Alternatively translate a note into German, that says you want a sim card and can they give you the form for it. You can take the form away and ask a friend help you to complete then bring it back to get the sim card.

I recommend Yallo , a sim card cost about 10 sfr at your local post office, holds
a value of 20 sfr , you can upload money online.

Lets think about this... you want a SIM card... cheap if not for free.
How do you plan to use this telephone number? Maybe as a telephone turned off in a drawer like others? Do you plan to make calls? Receive calls too? Send messages/SMS? Maybe surf a little EF now and then?
Brought up the Migros Prepaid (top of Google list). MMS not available via phone. SMS costs. Calling out costs. Data costs. So, it is going to cost you for every time you call, message or surf.
What is the big rush for the cheapest SIM card?
Shop around, look for the best call, message and surf prices - AND the best return when signing up and buying the new SIM card.

So itīs because of this that I donīt want to spend money with mensality of SIM card and I prefer prepaid cheaper or free because itīs just because I donīt have number from here
Itīs from what company your simcard? If you donīt need you can give?It would be great

I signed up for a Coop Mobile Prix Guarantee SIM once, when they had an offer (free or 5 chufs). It stayed in the unwrapped pack.
A year or so later I tried to use it in an old phone - without success.

Hi,
I just went to a shop in Zurich app. 2 months ago. They sell Orange and Sunrise SIM cards. They had SIM card with 20 CHF and that includes 10 CHF for calls and messages. There were also an offer you could buy a basic Nokia phone with SIM card (costs 20 CHF as well) including 10 CHF for calls+messages. I bought the last one, because it is a same price, but I got a new phone as well
I think that the shop was near to Limmattalstrasse (tram line 13), you can see it from the tram and they speak English | | This user would like to thank liv7 for this useful post:

I had a friend over with a similar requirement. We went down to the closest kiosk and got a Lebara sim card. 10 francs gets you a sim card and 10 francs of credit (so the card is actually free). Activation is pretty fast (usually half an hour).

Lebara blocks your sim after 6 months of inactivity. | Quote: | | | | | I think there may be a time limit from purchase to activation.
