On a serious note, its about time they upped the amount of storage on the iPad.

C'mon guys , go for fluffy and white | | | | | Fluffy & white's great and all... unless you're up flying amongst them, and then the airline'll take one of your kidneys for the privilege to access the cloud via their wifi. Or if you have a wifi only tablet, and juuuusst can't find an access point. The cloud is fantastic, and I love having all my media there, but its simply nice to have a good selection on your device for those times when you can't reach the cloud. | Quote: | | | | | this is sad. the largest co on the planet, and it was all down to one guy?

And I agree that if Apple continues to release these modest incremental upgrades to their products they won't reclaim that title anytime soon...

Share price was expected to break 1000USD now its heading fast towards the sub 400USD mark

Usually when I travel, I have 2-3 movies loaded, maybe a few television episodes, about 2 hours of music/audiobooks/podcasts, and probably 1-2 ebooks and several emagazines.

What i find hard to believe is now a high-end iPad costs as much as the low-end MBP. But I guess that is typical Apple pricing strategy. I have my home and business on Apple products (3MBPs/MacPro/iPad1 and 2 and 2 iPhones), as well as ATV1 and 2. So lots invested in Mac... but getting extremely tired of the product decisions and pricing.
I thought that Samsung's success would move Apple towards faster product evolution and better products. I still would like to see Flash on all devices, better Bluetooth support, slots for external memory, etc. And WTF is it with a new law in in the US making it illegal to Jailbreak? My ATV2 is an incredible device after jailbreaking... XBMC, alone, makes the device the best thing in my living room! Apple needs to open its eyes and let the customer's USE the ecosystem that they have created.

The real geniuses at Apple are the guys who came up with the ideas that were previously vetted by Jobs.

Not saying you are wrong about this, but it makes me wonder why they are stumbling after Jobs passing?
Seems to me that something is missing at Apple right now, though I would argue that I have always objected to their "walled garden" approach. But I was willing to live with it while they were offering cutting edge technology (or close) and everything worked well in the Apple multiverse.
Now, I find it insulting to pay a premium for marginal technology that is not upgradeable and doesn't always work. I hope they wake up in Cupertino!

While I agree that the SIII is likely superior to the 4S and the 5, I don't think Android is better than iOS.
But if I had my druthers, I would still be using the Nokia N9 and Meego. It was an incredible phone and OS... only problem was Apps. I am not one to rail on about needing 30-40K Apps, but when Nokia abandoned Meego, developers pretty much dried up. And the 20-30 that I wanted were not supported and the new stuff coming out was not showing up on Meego. So sad!
