I run my own Webhosting comparison Website www.hostingliste.ch and earn lot of experience since the last years because many users report me their problems.

I would not recommend hosttech. Read the discussion on this consumer forum and you know why: https://www.ktipp.ch/artikel/d/inter...nken-pro-jahr/

With metanet, servertown or cyon you won't go wrong.

You can hit me up on the chat on my website if you like.
I help for free and like to know your experiences.
Thanks! Exactly what I need to know. Great site you have.

Re: Which webhoster to choose?

The hoststar.ch package at CHF 5.90 per month works fine for me. I changed to them after 15 years of hosting with the various mutations of Yahoo through to Aabaco, mainly because of the poor customer support in dealing with performance issues that arose from time to time.

Re: Which webhoster to choose?

I think anyone thinking of starting a new small website or upgrading an existing one would be well advised to check out Wix and Weebly.

Looks like the future to me...

digitalocean.com

VPS for as low as $5 per month. Although it's not really "hosting", it's better than hosting because you will have complete access to the operating system.

Why do you want a Swiss host?

I just moved to namecheap.com from another North American provider. Since I mostly work on the site in the evenings, Im happy it's their day-time there if I need support.
Because of Swiss Data Protection laws. We don't all want the FBI & NSA to be able to grab our servers whenever they feel like it. Same for GCHQ.

I second metanet.ch .
