i have 2 boxes but 1 card - it works perfectly in both boxes. i dont have movies but i have other subscription channels.
Lucky you. I've tried it but mine (new white card) won't work on the second box. My old blue card gets free to view fine.
I have old digiboxes. Could that make a difference?

Re: Sky Agent Recommendations

Unfortunately for me, that didn't work. So now I have no Sky at all. What I need is someone with an address in the UK who would be happy to share it with me.

Re: Sky Agent Recommendations

Hi, I'm new here, attracted by the ongoing saga of storesatellite.com. I too have suffered at their hands and have been digging about on the web for information about the company.

E.g. I saw that the name Damian Rankin, who was (is?) at storesatellite.com, is mentioned as the contact for skycards.eu (http://eng.com51.com/importer/imp257503). His address is given as London wbd42c (Wimbledon?), zip code 440207, which could be the start of the telephone number +44 207 100 9165, which is the UK number given on www.storesatellite.com. Maybe those happy with skycards.eu need to be careful - is it also run by storesatellite, which was previously skycards.net?

John mentioned above that one Thomas Dempsey runs The Satellite Shop in Artane, Dublin; I have been unable to establish this in my searches, so I'd be interested in evidence for this link.

I'd also be interested to know about attempts to use the small claims court procedure in Ireland. Any luck there? If there is evidence of criminal behaviour, could the Garda be put on the case?

Thanks to all who have contributed to this informative thread.

John,
Just signed in here and read these posts. I too am having the same problem. They have charged me 160euros 2 times in 4 months for yearly subscriptions. I have emailed them several times in the last two weeks, no reply.
Can't see how I can cancel my dealings with them!
My uncle pays my subscription via his CC as I don't have one, and I just pay him cash monthly.
I'm not sure how I can put a stop to this. I will ask my uncle to to contact his CC and block any more payments to this company.

Any info you might have on them would be welcome. If you need my help in supporting action against them I'm more than happy to join in.

Thanks,
Martin

Well, getting back to what eventually happened, I got my uncle to complain to the CC company and we got the "extra" 160 euros refunded with no questions asked, seems that the CC company might well have had more complaints and are quite willing to issue refunds. Since this refund (back in april last year) we have not been double charged again. In fact we have had no more charges except our SKY monthly fee.

Re: Sky Agent Recommendations

Hey all

To anyone who has the teleclub sky, cable, cable-com or Blue win.
Is discovery channel in English??
If it is I will get an Abo, if not, I'm getting sky Italy.
Secondly, if anyone has one of those flat sat receivers instead of the dish do they work, and can you recommend one.

Thanks have a great evening, and lets hope the sun comes out sooner rather than later.

Hello everyone

I have a different problem, in that I was with skycards/storesatellite for 4 years, but now I have moved back to the UK and returned my sky viewing card, they are not replying to any attempt to contact them, and I am still being billed for sky tv! I was told not to contact sky by this company, but I cannot think what else to do, otherwise it seems they will happily carry on taking payment for a service I am not receiving. I just don't know what to tell Sky when I call! Any suggestions?

PS The last contact I had with storesatellite was around 20th July, when I emailed them to ask where I should send the viewing card back to. They wrote back and gave an address and I sent off the card. When I continued to be billed by sky I have emailed several times, tried to call (no answer) and even faxed them once! No response. It seems something has definitely happened to this company in the last few weeks!
Same thing is currently happening to me with storesatellite -never answer emails -the phone is always engaged...so we cancelled our credit card so they couldn't take any payments then sent an email saying we were going to throw the card out if they didn't let us know where to send it back to...they gave us some address in Portugal and said they would refund the initial payment. Still waiting for the money......

Re: Sky Agent Recommendations

Hi,
Sorry I'm new here and was forwarded this link by a couple of customers.
I'm sorry to hear of your problems with storesatellite you are not the first customers who have complained in relation to their poor service. They were an Irish sky card supplier for many years but I believe they are no longer in business. I'm not too sure who Damien Rankin is however I can assure you he is not attached to Skycards.eu and the link you have shared here refers to his company as Skycards international.

It is a shame that they are using this name and it is reflecting badly on Skycards.eu .
I'm not to sure of the administrators rules on the supply of Skycards.eu's contact details, however Skycards.eu would be willing to help with any enquiries. Please message me and I'm certain I can give advice on any problems you are having with any other previous supplier.

Thanks Steven Connor
