i am supposed to reach switzerland, next month and will be there atleast till end of 08. i wnat to know if i can go in for a contract. where can i find the details on Mobile phones and connections.

Get a prepay card. It's the only way to go if you're not going to be here for a longer term. If you search the forum you'll see that it's difficult to get a contract without at least a B permit.

for the major carriers. There are also some cheaper options via the supermarkets COOP and Migros.
