Google is your friend, though from what i recall you can simply set the country to the UK on first setup and then create a new account.

Thanks for your replies,

I suppose one further question, how can you set up a UK E shop account whilst in Switzerland? is it just a case of however you configure it when you boot it up?

I used to have a nintendo account as I owned a Wii so If I can remember the name and password etc.. I can see if that works as its all set for the UK I suppose
Just register and UK PSN account online and use that to login to your PS4. I have several accounts including a US one for the sole purpose of buying cheap games of Amazon.com (digital download) and installing them on my PS4 - they will then work with all accounts including my "main" account for wich i also buy stuff from playstation store.

My point is that if nobody took the few seconds it takes to answer questions, there would be no answers out there. "Google it" is such a pointless answer, everything can be googled. Lets help each other out here instead of pointing to google.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Is anyone interested in buying Until Dawn? I ordered one from Amazon UK last week and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow, but in the meantime I noticed that it's included (together with 1 other game I want) in the current 'buy 1 get 1 for free' deal on PS Store, so I'd prefer to get the digital copy and sell the disc.

The 2 for 1 deal on PSN store is a sham, way overpriced.

In general - yes, but there are also some bargains. In my case Until Dawn + Divinity
Amazon UK - 63 CHF with delivery
PS store - around 52 CHF

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Hi Guys,

never having owned a Playstation my son convinced me we should get one for his birthday in 2 weeks.

Q: should we go for one with 1 Tera or one with 500 gb?

How big are the games and is it not advised to run them via the usb port (due to performance)?

if anyone knows of any deals out there let me know - cheers

(happy new year to all EF and Gamers!)

Afaik the 1TB version sold is still running the on the old hardware revision. The new model is more power efficient and makes less noise, it doesn't have the shiny HDD cover. I'd recommend buying the 500GB version and replacing the HDD with a 2TB model. It's easy, pretty cheap and doesn't void your warranty, google it!

Up to 50GB? You can only run them from the internal HDD.
Edit: BF4 is over 70GB with all updates and extensions.

For deals check toppreise.ch.

how do you know which is the new hardware?

and the same graphics processor: AMD Radeon™ de 1,84 TFLOPS

anything in particular I should be considering?

thanks

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

I've had the 500 GB model for over a year now.

No issues with capacity, since the games I don't play more than 3-4 games during the same period. Also my internet connection is quite good so I don't mind waiting a bit for a game to re-download.

My only problem would be the fan noise. I don't even keep it in the TV furniture, but sitting on it's own on an open space to breathe as much as possible and the fans are still working a lot.

If you're going to buy them, go ahead and do it sooner than later. There are some pretty good deals on the Playstation Store this month, some are expiring on Friday, some on the 22nd of the month.

I was hoping my Xmas shopping spree would end after clothes and gadgets, but it seems like I have to spend some more on a couple of games that I was waiting to get on a sale

If box says "CUH-12**" then it's the new chassis.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Hi,

I hope someone can help me figuring this out.
My son got his PS4 here, set it up with a US account.

He plays FIFA 15 and purchased FIFA points online.
Now, for his birthday he got FIFA points gift cards from the local Gamestop.

....we can't redeem them....I google it but honestly I am lost with all the terms...I read something about locked DLC that needs to be from same region. Are FIFA points DLC?

Thanks in advance!

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Unfortunately Fifa points are region locked, they need to be bought from the PlayStation store or if you buy the physical cards they have to match your region.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Thank you Zenistar! Not what he wants to hear

Another question on the same topic. He also got a Swiss season pass for Star Wars Battlefront. Can he use this on his US account? Or better is there a way to redeem it and use it in his US account?

Sorry if maybe I am asking the same bit each game is like a different galaxy for me

Again thanks in advance for the help!
