Have to say, I do like them. I think they were one of the first decent wireless options, but it seems LG are now doing their own version of this called "Music Flow" which I would probably look into now instead.

(That is to say, if you want to buy my Philips, it would give me an excuse to get them!)
How are the Philipps for music in terms of audio quality, better than a soundbar I guess? Also, is the Bluetooth reliable for streaming phones and laptops etc?

I think it is pretty good, the wireless satellite idea is a good one and I've had a few gaming sessions and they've never run out of battery.

It is fine for streaming stuff over Bluetooth - I quite like my partypiece of putting spotify on the phone, then tapping the side of the main speaker (NFC Connection) to automatically stream whatever is playing.

Sorry guys, I've not had much time to think, let alone do anything, about this share group. I'm off all over the holiday period, so will try to organise something then.

Anyway; technical question; is there anyway to connect my PS4 to my PC speakers for audio output?
I have a set-up where I have PS3, PS4, Swisscom TV 2.0 and Mac Mini all connected to my LG TV via HDMI. The Mac mini is also connected to Logitech 2.1 speakers, and I would like to make these my PS4 audio output too. Is there a simple solution? I have to check, but I think I only have a single 3.5mm audio input on my speakers; would a simple splitter adapter work OK (assuming I have a 3.5 mm audio out on my TV of course, again, I need to check).
If all your gear is anyway connected via HDMI to your TV, then you could just connect your TV, instead of Mac Mini, to the speakers.
Which model of speakers do you have? Sometimes they have dual inputs, analog and digital.

Im in the same situation, got a pair of Audioengine 5.s connected to my mac mini. I re-searched this and it seems the only solution for me is to get a optical/analog converter:

http://www.amazon.de/Konverter-Wandl...alog+converter

My LG tv doesn't have a 3.5mm audio out so can't run sound through that.

The rear wireless speakers are unable to be turned up or down though right? is the volume at a good level not to be annoying if its pretty close to you?

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Finally breaking down and getting a PS4 for my kids (8 and 10) and a bit for myself. I haven't bought a gaming system since the original Wii, so I am a bit clueless. I do have a few questions if anybody can help me;:

1. Should I make sure to have 2 controllers? For example, are there 2 people games?

2. I want the games to be in English. I assume this means I need to order my games from England. I am a bit worried about the VAT on that. I read somewhere, can't remember where, that it can be very high on video games. Any truth to that?

3. How can I ensure that the downloads and whatever else I need via the internet will be in English? I do not have an infinity for having an actual disc of a game....of course, I do not know how many games the console can hold either. That may change my opinion. I would prefer to have it link to the US as I also have US credit cards and a US address I use. I do not have any links to the UK.

4. I would like to get games from the US, as myself and my wife travel there for work (her frequently). Is there any issues with playing a game from the US on a console from Switzerland?

5. When I buy a system here, any issue to making the default language English?

Sorry for the probably pretty naive questions.

I haven't tried modifying it actually, they were perfectly acceptable out of the box and that's with them being about a foot behind me.

If what you say is right though, that is a bit of an oversight for sure.

There are plenty, FIFA for example. Also there is a small pac man style game (i forget the name) you get from the PS store where you play together, pretty fun.

2. I want the games to be in English. I assume this means I need to order my games from England. I am a bit worried about the VAT on that. I read somewhere, can't remember where, that it can be very high on video games. Any truth to that?

No VAT for orders under 60 chf from EU, I've ordered 30+ games from Amazon.co.uk without any customs at all and low shipping too.

Pretty sure you can set your default country to where ever your credit card is registered, then you get the store for that country (I have sweden on my PS3)

4. I would like to get games from the US, as myself and my wife travel there for work (her frequently). Is there any issues with playing a game from the US on a console from Switzerland?

No.

No.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

PS4 games are region free, although the publishers reserve the right to change this I think but rarely, if ever, do, and occasionally games such as Wolfenstein have country-specific versions, in this case due to the illegality of displaying the swastika in Germany.

However DLC (i.e. extra, usually paid for, downloadable levels) can be region specific. So I think this means that you can only buy DLC if the origin of the game is the same as your PSN account. I've only bought DLC for UK games and my PSN account is UK too, even though I set it up here, so I can't be 100% certain.

Did anyone manage to get one of the Special Edition 20th Anniversary PS4s? They look amazing, esp the controllers.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

These things got crazy prices on ebay. I saw one go for more than 15k USD

@ At the sea:

When if you buy a "CH" version game, the DE/FR/IT refers only to the language on the box. The game itself will play in the language that is selected on your PS4. So I have English and a couple of CH DE marked disk games, and they played straight in English.

The PS Store is not based on your CC but on what you put in as your country when you register. Then the requirement is that your CC has an address in that country. I had many games + trophies from my PS3 days in Greece and I didn't want to make a new account.
So I put in my swiss CC with my Zurich address but with the country changed to Greece. Never had a problem up until the Last of Us offer last week. I think it went crazy because I accessed the PS Store from work, and the intranet points to Netherlands or something and it kind of freaked it out. (I hope).

I used Paypal instead and no problem. (funnily enough Paypal also doesn't let you change countries, but at least you can give cc details from whatever country you want).

Thank You Don Molina! I think we will get the Mediamarkt bundle with 3 games. My parents will come for Christmas from the US and will bring some US games too. This would be our first game console since the original wii and we never had that connected to the internet, so it is a huge step!

So besides setting the language to English, I was wondering what would be the best way to set it up? Are the PS stores different by region? (Like the AppStore?) I would prefer to put my Bern address and swiss cc but if that will link me to the PS store in German would that be a problem? Is the content of the stores different? (Children do not speak German) thanks in advance!
