Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Starting today, Mediamarkt is bundling a free copy of "The Order: 1886" (yeah, I know...) with the purchase of a PS4, all for CHF 379.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

So I am going to buy a FIFA 15 and I was comparing the prices across amazon.de and Amazon.co.uk, and it surprised me that players in germany gave a very shitty rating to the game(like two stars or less) while those in UK give a much more positive rateing(3.5 stars). So can anyone explain this?

Germans understand football better than their English counterparts.

May be you should go for PES 2015 instead of FIFA 15 :-)

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

To those who have PES 2015, do you play online? I'm still on FIFA 14, enjoyed the PES 2015 demo and am ready to make the switch-over, but from everything I've heard, the online aspects (size of the community, server stability) of PES 2015 leave a lot to be desired. Has it gotten better?

I have not played online yet so I don't know, but I heard that there were not as many players as in FIFA indeed.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

It was true for the last few years but people have started to play again to PES with this last version. It could be the same as in 2008/2009 when FIFA became better than PES

FIFA 15 really isn't a bad game once you get used to the skills movements, and they've fixed the lobbed through ball glitch on FIFA 14. I personally haven't played PES for 3 years, was a very hard choice to move over.. But all the online additions such as FUT and COOP etc.. mean for picking up and playing with your mates, FIFA is miles ahead.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Anyone tried The Order 1886? It was hailed as being the next best thing in gaming yet reviews have panned it; looks great, but it is essentially akin to watching a GGI movie with the occasional interactive elements. Any personal views?

And even better: Sunday from 4.30 a.m., Interdiscount will have it for CHF 329.

Valid online and at Interdiscount shops open on Sundays (Geneva airport, Würenlos service area, Bern station, Luzern station, Zurich station, Zurich Shop Ville and Zurich airport).

I wonder if all these price drops are making way for the new model which is to support 4k video output?

It's likely one will be on the way soon... it should have had certain things from the very start.

?

What new model? This is hardly a year-and-a-half old... PS4 can ouput 4k for movies/blurays, but the hardware can't process 4k resolutions for games. I doubt we'll see native 4k games in this console generation to be honest...

As far as I understand, my current PS4 might be able to display 4k photos I have taken, but there is no 4K video capability and certainly no 4k streaming or playing from a 4k Blu-Ray (should they come into existance).
The usual PS hardware refresh comes every two years, so as you point out, we are already 1.5 years into the PS4 lifecycle, so there are likely to be new models come autumn/winter.
