One plus one

Dear friends,

Does anyone have an invite for the One+ One by any chance?

Been trying to get my hands on one of those but it's extremely hard

Re: One plus one

You have to have an invite to buy a phone? I thought the iLot were bad.

Crazy isn't it?
And to obtain an invite you need to waste so much time...

Thanks, I'll check that out, although it seems that chances are pretty slim

A flag ship breaker...
It looks like the guys from 1+ read a lot of forums in internet to get a telephone with the things that most people want in a phone:

+ More battery (thicker design)
+ No 2K display which drains battery much faster
+ Better camera quality with stabilization and not just more megapixels
+ 4GB LPRAM
+ Much lower temperatures with the new Snapdragon 810
+ double SIM card
+ clean operating system OXIGEN OS pure android (no bloating apps included).
+

...the only problem for some people is that it doesn't have any apple. Just joking

I have an 1+ one and I will wait for the 3.

It's not that it's the best phone in the world, but manages to be among the top at half the price

+ double SIM card
This tempts me, but still no SD card! I really hate lugging around a laptop to transfer pictures from a DSLR on vacation. Plus I'm quite liking not getting nuisance calls on my UK number, although have also missed a couple of important ones...

I'd have thought that the 64GB model, plus cloud storage, would have negated any need for a laptop for media transfer ....... or take less pics. and delete the crap ones.

However, dual SIM capacity, is becoming more and more of a requirement for travel purposes - I have recently changed phone to a dual SIM model, all ready for a new UK one ...... until roaming charges are greatly reduced or eliminated, whenever that's scheduled for.
Plus I have SD card capacity up to 128GB - but am only using a 64GB one.

I was tempted to get a One+One, once, but because of supply and demand, the order process was just too much of a fag for Swiss residents (bit easier now - at a price) ..... and the size was a bit off-putting, for me.

Re: One plus one

I would really like to buy the new OnePlus 2.

But apparently OnePlus started with their invite system and already 600K+ people waiting to get invites.

So my chances of getting my hands on an invite seem pretty slim

Oh, I barely use the storage capacity - but it goes without saying that my DSLR is infinitely better than a phone camera, and it's more how to transfer pics from the DSLR ready for upload onto (ahem...) social media that is the problem. I used to use a micro to normal SD adaptor, transfer that from my DSLR, and then edit all on my phone. Am I missing a trick here?

Isn't one of the main marketing points of One+One, is the quality and sophistication of it's camera, for a mobile device.
.... and couldn't you transfer via a cable (PictBridge-like). Don't really know, though.

It (original one) is now orderable online from Digitec (probably other outlets, now, too) ..... although there seems to be a slight disconnect between the CHF price and the $ equivalent - but only to be expected.

ETA: just looked at Digitec and apparently it's no longer there. It must have been a one-off bulk purchase and now sold out

Re: One plus one

OnePlus2 seems to be available for four days without an invitation. Have not looked at the pricing so if interested you will need to check at their website (no link on this article).
