Recommended phone plan for 8 months?

I am going to be working as an intern for 8 months here and was wondering what some good plans would be. I went in to Orange and they offered me a 40 CHF plan that comes with 3 gigs of data, unlimited talk and text and unlimited spotify.

I don't have any preferences in mind so I was wondering if some people could recommend a few different plans that are good and fairly cheap.

Migros Budget One is one alternative. Based on swisscom network, so should have the best coverage.

However, your answer requires more details, where will you be based/moving about, what are your expected calls and data traffic levels, etc.

The Migros One looks like a better deal for me since I won't need much data. 1 gig is probably a lot more than what I will be using. 500 minutes is plenty too!

I will be interning at ETH and will be near that area (within 20 minutes 99% of the time). Probably won't have too many calls either.

For 8 months you might consider a pre-paid SIM so you only pay for what you use. Depending on where you are, if you find free wifi then you can save even more. I use a pre-paid sim from Swisscom, fwiw.
