dual audio

Hello everyone!

So, I think I have inherited a TV from Germany - the remote does not appear to have (at least, I have not yet been able to find):

- the setup button to change the language
- the button to change audio channel.

The latter is a a bigger problem. Will a receiver fix this problem? I have no receiver .... there is just the cable from the wall to the TV ... I only get the normal swiss channels, which is ok with me ...

Would anyone have a functional receiver (with a remote) laying around, and willing to part with it. Terms may be discussed

It's a basic Phillips model: 42PFL4606H/12

TIA!

Re: dual audio

Has the remote got a stereo/mono button? - if so, that will change between audio channel 1 & 2. Alternatively an infinity (sideways 8 symbol).

It's not a given that all channels broadcast original language on all available programs.

Maybe a pic. of the remote could help.
Is it a smart tv and/or with onscreen menu options?

Re: dual audio

#16 'Adjust' button, for menu - are there no audio options here?

Re: dual audio

@timow : that is the remote

I tried the Adjust and all the other buttons, including the 4 rectangular ones on upper side of the remote. No luck.

I'm guessing that this TV is a simple one and will play whatever is coming through - so if a receiver could change the audio channel then the TV would play that audio.

Cheers ....
