Re: Short-term internet solutions

Dear all

if I may summarise, so the short term solution is either tethering with a mobile hotspot or a USB dongle.

As my lycamobile does not work with tethering (see Lycamobile tethering), I think I only left with the option of a USB dongle. Any insights on how much it would cost? Any recommendation on brand etc.?
I think it is my only option as I don't think buying an Android phone + prepaid sim could be cheaper....

Is it possible to elaborate for us other Aldi users ...... or is it just individual user specific?

Re: Short-term internet solutions

Migros nice and cheap - very good customer service - for a short period of time I would personally take them

As for the problem I am having with Aldimobile is that I bought an Alcatel 4030X in 2013 and for no reason they don't want to unlock the sim card saying that in their system I bought it at an other date (one year later), I have the original sales ticket but to no avail many e-mails and phones later. I have just written to Aldi to see what can be done - waiting for an answer

For internet use @home, monzoon prepaid DSL is one of the options as well, but requires a modem.

And anyone has experiences with Salt 4G? Does it have a promising connection stability for home users? And how is the speed in reality?
