Hi Friends,

I need to move house. In such case what process needs to be followed for Billag. I have paid them for a year. Do I need to pay again!!

Please help clarify the process

Yes this link is helpful, but unfortunately I am unable to trace if I need to pay again as I already paid for the 1 year. Apologies, if I am nave but will go through the process again and will reply in case need some more information.

You are not being "naieve" by not actually doing research before you ask questions, it's just a little ignorant. It is not rocket science to call them to ask and see what they say, and it's also a hell of a lot quicker and more accurate than waiting for people to reply on an internet forum.

No. Your registration transfers with you to your new address - unless you are moving in with somebody who is already registered, in which case you may deregister.

What can also happen. You deregister, move in with someone else, who is registered. Billag tracks you down and and sends you an invoice at your new address. I had to deregister again and my OH and I never found a way not to pay that invoice.

When you relocate, you can use the online service of Billag to get the information to Billag, works , no complaints, no second invoice.
