Pre-paid mobile deals

Hi,
Do you know any mobile pre paid deals with unlimited or much internet and eventually good fares to call to Europe?
Currently I have orange, 95 per month, free calls pretty much everywhere and 1 GB Internet which is not much.
Do you know any cheaper deal?

Re: Pre-paid mobile deals

I would suggest you to check out Sunrise - I have found them to be good for both phones and internet. If you are under 30 you can get a good value contract (which I think can be cancelled in 30 days) - Sunrise World - good quantity of internet, free calls to Swiss networks and free calls to several European countries:

Re: Pre-paid mobile deals

Calls to Europe: das-abo.ch (orange network; CHF39; 500mb) or yallo.ch (sunrise; CHF 39; 1gb)

Additional data: lycamobile.ch

Re: Pre-paid mobile deals

Check out lebara (www.lebara.ch). For internet, you can get 1GB data for CHF14.90 per month, 3GB for CHF29.90, 5GB for CHF44.90. You can top up more data once you use it up. If you top up CHF100 online, you get free CHF120 credits. Overseas calling rate is also pretty decent.

Re: Pre-paid mobile deals

M-Budget One is a reasonably good deal too, particulary if you go out in the sticks much

Re: Pre-paid mobile deals

My advice is to use VOIP for all calls!

Even (especially) to Swiss landline and mobile calls. Just worry about the data, and not the international calls. Once you have a data allowance you can use VOIP with a SIP app.

I use Sunrise Pay-as-you-go but when I last checked, Aldi had a better deal. The Sunrise data performance is good enough to use VOIP most places. 9chf gets 250mb monthly allowance which will do all my calls for a month, still leaving some for checking email in emergencies. A 2GB data topup with Sunrise is 19chf when needed and lasts a month. That combined with hotspot access free from a home ISP (eg Cablecom hotspots in most residential areas), friends WIFI's etc.

VOIP uses surprisingly little data, but does need low latency and the power of a decent handset made in the last 3 years or so.

voipcheap.co.uk on my mobile gives me most international landline calls for free (including Switzerland), most mobile calls for 2p per min, eg, UK, Germany. Swiss mobiles are a little more but not much.
