If your bill doesn't exceed a certain amount (IIRC CHF 50) they won't send it also by snail mail, so I'd check online for those fees
There is no activation fee with the basic offer

Re: Cablecom Basic Offer

Some subscribers to the basic plan are getting an offer to upgrade to "Basic Internet Plus" which gives 10 Mbit/s (instead of 2) for 15.-/month.

It's not available online; only at Cablecom shops or by phone using the number 0800 159 159.

Re: Cablecom Basic Offer

After 2min call got upgraded.

3 working days on average to delivery/activate. Last time they downgraded me to 2mb right away.

Operator explained that this offer only applies to "Basic Internet" customers.

edit: 10mb is up

Re: Cablecom Basic Offer

I see no problem on that.

You could downgrade to basic internet, stick with it for a couple days and move up to 10mb. Tell them 2mb is slower than you imagined/isn't enough to live with or any other excuse
