New Scam, fake whatsApp Email

I just now recieved an email from a friends address purporting to be a whatsApp voicemail, it didn't look right so I got me a googlin and it's a scam, be warned.

Seems it's been going from 2013, this is the first time I've seen it, perhaps a new wave of them, or my friend just fell for it.

I am not going to click on a link that is clearly spam and that you have said is clearly spam.
Could you tell us the contents instead?

He wasn't stupid enough to post the link in the email, but instead a link to a site which explains the scam. it's safe.

I just clicked on it and it looks plausible.
I accepted the offer and have an appointment with a Nigerian business man next week.
I just transferred $10k for his flight so that he can bring the cash amount to Switzerland.

That's funny, I am in touch with a Nigerian gentleman too. I think yours is a scam though, because mine didnt even ask for any money upfront. I just gave him my bank account details so that he can transfer the 34 million USD he inherited from his uncle the president straight into my account.

I'm handing in my notice tomorrow!

Re: New Scam, fake whatsApp Email

Well here a quote from OP TodayOnly

"What annoys me about this sort of post is the veiled insult that people think we need to bew alerted of such scams, that we are too stupid to see for ourselves that it's a scam.

We all know it goes on, we all know not to give any details out, we all know to look at the email address to see if there is even a hint of BS, yet people still think it's necessary to propegate and fill up our in boxes with such crap, implying we are too stupid to see for ourselves."
