Now that freesat has launched, a bonus for people using regular satellite boxes is that E4 and More4 have just become Free-To-Air services.


Previously they could only be recieved with a Sky box/card/subscription.

I believe that Channel 4 has also gone Free-to-Air too and even though it was free before, you still needed a Sky box with card to get it.

E4...is that like E! the entertainment channel, or something else? Do you have the freq/pol for these channels as FTA ?

E4 is sort of the trendy programmes from Channel 4, often shown before they are on the main C4. Plus lots of various filler but all in all not too bad.

More4 is mostly repeats of Channel 4 programmes from the week, plus older repeats of popular shows (Grand Designs, River Cottage, that sort of thing) plus a few news programmes and documentaries. Again, a nice addition for free.

Now, people just have to wait for Five, 'Fiver' (horrible name) and Five Life. Should be FTA soon I reckon.
