Can we watch the US Republican debate tonight?

Anyone know if FOX NEWS is allowing any European TV stations to broadcast the debate live tonight?

Re: Can we watch the US Republican debate tonight?

Here are a couple links that may be useful. You can use a friend's or family member's subscription information to watch it on your tablet using the Fox News app. If you know someone who has a slingbox you can remotely connect to their cable box from anywhere in the world.

Too bad Jon Stewart already did his last show. I'm sure this debate will have a lot of comedic material.

Here's another link about Fox News that all viewers should be aware about. "60% of Fox News is False according to fact-checker"

Well as long as they don't force anyone...

I couldn't be less interested, but unless someone's playing an elaborate hoax, it seems that they're seriously considering Donald Trump as a candidate. Someone please tell me it's just a joke

This had better be a VERY good friend. Once you give someone your slingbox account info they can change your channel and override you anytime they want.

You might be watching the Walking Dead someday and BOOM your TV switches to Fox News. Shudder.

Could be worse - imagine if it switched to the Walking Dead when you were watching something decent

Re: Can we watch the US Republican debate tonight?

No need to denounce Fox News, that's all been known for ages... This is a debate, it's different from their usual agenda.

Sorry I didn't answer this sooner but Sky News covered this live, I'm watching the replay. The next debates will probably be on either BBC News (BBC World), Sky News or CNBC Europe. I couldn't get the fox news live stream to work via my US vpn ...

Why?

There must be interest in the potential candidates for the most powerful position in the world.

I can see it might not be your cup of tea, but why would you prefer nobody else in Europe to see it?

Re: Can we watch the US Republican debate tonight?

I know- but this guy gives me the heeby jeebies- and the fact his popularity is growing gives me 1000x more - the President of the United States has a huge influence on all our lives, not just the 'mericans. The thought of somebody like that being elected is just ... can't find the words. And the thought that so many Americans are seriously considering this, is almost more worrying. But yes- it would have made 'interesting' watching (we didn't).

Don't worry, it's only the very very beginning of the process. Till the primaries begin in January this is all bluff, seriously. Just take it as entertainment, and let's see who actually knows how to rally the people on the ground, state by state. I'd loathe a Clinton vs Bush rematch but if daTrumpCoward wants to run as independent and lose most of his wealth in the process, let him do it. SuperTuesday (in February) will shake out the also rans from the real contenders, if Iowa + Massachussetts don't first.

Re: Can we watch the US Republican debate tonight?

Hi,

I thought it would have been on comedy central. I suppose it was on the sister network Fox.

All it really proved is how unelectable the republican party has become. Is there any other western country that has a major political party who is wrong on just about every important issue and so far to the right ? They will not even say if they believe in evolution, don't think women should be able to control their own bodies , believe invading countries is preferable to diplomacy and the rich need to be looked after whilst the poor suffer.

Hopefully, none of them will be elected.

Have fun

Martin

I would have thought that even the last person in Europe should have learned by now: it doesn't really matter much who is POTUS under the reign of various lobby-groups and ultra-rich individuals pulling the strings.
They'll have their way either way.

I'm pretty sure Comedy Central and Fox aren't sister companies, but the summary on the Daily Show should be more interesting than the actual debate.

I bet Trevor Noah wished he was following straight after Jon Stewart, Trump couldn't really have given him an easier start to his job!

Re: Can we watch the US Republican debate tonight?

You can watch it on YouTube today. I got stuck at work last night and listened to it early this morning while driving 2+ hours to a client. Some of the stuff I heard...I did not know whether to laugh, cry, or both.

As far as (Mr.) Trump, he totally reminds me of (Mr.) Berlusconi. I hold high hopes that Americans are not as gullible as my fellow countrymen were. The thought makes me cringe.

From Trump on Down, the Republicans Can't Be Serious
