Today's exciting news from Apple

Surprised that there is not thread about it yet.

What will Apple announce:
- a watch with 20% more battery capacity
- an iPad where you can choose the color of the charger
- a bigger iPhone
- or a smaller one

Anyone else curious?

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

I'm waiting for the new iPhone. I'm guessing it's not gonna be a major upgrade but an improvement of the iPhone 6 is good enough for me.

I like Apple because it's simple and I'm stuck with their environment. LOL.

Even though you've no idea what the improvement could be (if any?)

There's one born every minute.

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

Android user here.

Thought this keynote would be more on the AppleTV and of course, iPhone 6s.

My bet goes on RAM upgrade, new Touchforce interface. I don't expect any innovation as Apple fans call it

Won't fail to watch this keynote. Never had

Sure. Might be the camera or force touch or whatever. I'm already in the market for a new phone anyway. And it's gonna be an iPhone. Why not android because it's better and apple's ripping you off, etc? Simple personal preference.

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

It is going to be iphone 6S and iphone 6 plus S.

NFC will be really welcome. At least wireless charging. But we are not going to get these.

In fact it wont be any thing useful. Instead it is going to be - 3D touch or touch force. Or perhaps, they would copy the heart rate sensor from the iwatch onto the iphone home button

I bought an iphone long ago (3gs) and never bought another.

But I do track apple news, their new phones. Why, cause I feel kind of nice when I see how expensive but stupid they are compared to my Androids.

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

iBlanket will finally be announced. All the aficionados will finally be able to stay warm while they wait in line in front of an apple store during the chilly Swiss nights. It will be the best blanket yet and Sir Jonny Ive boasted that after decades working on it he's finally managed to design a better blanket.

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

The camera and image quality from the iPhone 6 has been superb for me. Although I am usually seen hanging around with Nikon gear or a Sony compact, the iPhone 6 has seen steady use in photo situations where I'd previously have laughed off cell phone use.

If the sensor does indeed increase from 8MP up to 12MP, I'm in for the 6S whatever else the specs are.

9to5Mac had this issued covered recently

You'll be perfectly happy with the 6S with the best camera in the world.
Well, until the 7 is released with a 13MP camera

The best thing about Apple launches is the incandescent rage of Android fanboys...

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

Hi,

if the rumours are true then it might be time for the bingo card:

1 Surface
2 Google Now
3 Roku/Amazon Firebox
4 Spotify
5 Windows 8 ( already announced split screen----in IOS 9)
6 Huawei Mate S for the force touch

Hopefully for the Apple disciples there will me more than the current rumours. I own no Apple products and so it does not bother me.

Have fun
Martin

But does it really? NFC which is locked down so that it can only be used by what Steve Jobs tells us from the grave?

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

Although I am an Android fanboy I'm quite excited to see what is coming. My biggest problem with iPhones is how expensive they are. I just can't justify the price to myself when you can get great Android phones for a fraction of the price.

Oh and the share button on Android. Until iOS has a share button like that I'm not coming back to the Apple side

Re: Today's exciting news from Apple

Yes. Apple is very good for overpricing their products. I'm actually considering going Android (Moto X Pure looks solid) just for a change. But I wouldn't be able to iMessage the wife and everybody else. And we use iCal in the office. Is it safe to use google calendar with that now?

Pure and simple supply and demand law. Create a hype, increase price, job done.
