I downloaded some videos few days ago(I'm pretty sure they were safe) and a day after the downloading my safari is running very slow .I removed all the history, caches but still slow and sometimes fail to open the site.I thought maybe there is something wrong with internet but internet is working quite well on my Dell and iPhone.. It is worth mentioning that i just bought this macbook pro a month ago .I appreciate if anyone help me through this problem because im freaking out.

Just reset Safari. If you don't know how then follow the Link below

Personally I'd download Firefox and use that as your main browser - Safari has always been somewhat of an awkward child.

Then take it back to the Apple Store. It might be a problem with the WiFi on your laptop.

Update to El Capitan (latest version of Mac OS, just released). I had massive issues with internet speed both on my macs and on the iPad - both the App Store and Apple Music were absolutely glacial.

What you could also try: set your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 (that's one of Google's public servers) as lots of times, slow internet speeds are caused by DNS problems.

Be careful with that - for some reason using google DNS settings can cause downloading from the Apple app store to crawl. I remember reading about it some time ago, and while I can't remember the exact technical explanation, it would seem that using google DNS settings causes the App store to do some really weird routing.

I encountered this myself when downloading iOS 9 via iTunes - it was painfully slow, then I checked my DNS settings and low and behold they were set to 8.8.8.8. Changing the DNS to my routers address solved the problem.

Edit: Here's the explanation. Even though this article is 5 years old it would appear the problem still exists today.

Re: My safari is running way too slow on macbook!!

I've had no problems downloading Apple software (most recently iOS 9.1 on the phone/ipad, 10.11.1 on the Macbook) with my DNS set to google's.

Exact opposite for me - mine were set to UPC defaults and downloads were insanely slow. Set them to google and everything was back to normal :-)

Check your memory. I have this problem on a regular basis, when my memory is almost full. (and that is with Firefox)
