So after a year and a half of living in a world where I could only go online by taking my laptop into the computer room and plugging it into an ethernet cable, I have now moved and am living in a place that has wifi.
My laptop and phone (both Windows) have connected without issues to the wifi network. But my brand new iPad refuses to connect. I go to Settings, WiFi, click on the network and enter the password... and it sits and thinks, and then asks me for the password... again, and again, and again.
I've done a Google search, and all the answers I found talk about resetting the router. But this is not an option. I live in a group home with 7 other residents and 6 members of staff, and I can't just turn the router off or fiddle with it so my iPad can connect to the internet.
I've tried turning the iPad off and turning it on again. I've tried taking it to different parts of the building to be closer to the internet connection.
I have been able to connect to WiFi in other locations, so the iPad's wifi connectivity does work. However it was bought for me in the UK.
So... can any technology-savy people suggest any other solutions or things I could try?
Thanks in advance!
p.s. As far as I know, we are with Swisscom. The technology side of things is looked after by an organisation called CIAD, but of course they're not going to call them out to look at a resident's iPad...
