Looking for TV with integrated Cablecom recorder

They do it in the UK with Sky.

And I discovered they do it here with Metz a German manufacturer, who filed for bankruptcy in January 2015, but still appears to be in business. They have built-in Cablecom reciever and HD recorder - and good sounding speaker.

The downside is they are not cheap. Anyone know of any other TVs with built-in Cablecom receiver/recorder - and good sound system all in one? I'm trying top be tidy...

Re: Looking for TV with integrated Cablecom recorder

You need a TV that supports DVB-C and USB recording. Then you buy a USB external hard drive and connect it to the TV. Voilą!

For example:

Sony KDL-50W805C

LG 49UF675V

Be careful, I have had dealings with those cowboys and aside from not being cheap they have absolutely no idea what they are doing with their products.

I agree, any TV with built in DVB-C will give you the basic cablecom offering, any TV with DVB-C and digicard will give you any of the cablecom packages. Most modern DVB-C with USB connection will give you the option of recording onto an external drive (USB Stick or Hard drive) some have a better interface/software then others and some are more reliable then others. Reviews will give you all you need to know and more once you decided to get one.
