Mac and ipad syncing

Hi, Apple Geeks,

How did you handle the change of countries and billing address in iTunes and App store? Did you switch all the way or just half-way?

I would hate to all of a sudden be switched to an all German menu, with no options to N American stuff.

Thanks!

How do you switch half-way?

I did it twice. Note that once you switch to another country, you will have to repurchase the apps if you want to automatically update them. Otherwise, you have to switch back to your old country each time you want to update your old purchased apps.

Menus will be based on your iOS language. A few ads/terms will be in German.

Thanks for your reply.

Half-way would be like what you say: switching every now and again; or creating a second apple ID so that one works here and the other one in the other country.

Re: Mac and ipad syncing

I have multiple Apple IDs for when I need to get apps only available in certain countries. I stick with my UK one but once a month or so I use iTunes, click "Account Info" and then simply log in to one of my other accounts. I click "check for updates", update any apps that need updating, then move on to the next one.

A sync with the phone or ipad and it's all done; you don't need to switch Apple IDs on the phone or ipad itself (unless that's the device you have with you when you want to grab an app from some other country).
