Salt Christmas offer, 29/month, all unlimited

There is a subscription offer at Salt running till 6 December. Calls, sms/mms and data unlimited for 29.- month, 12 or 24 months subscription. I believe it is a good deal, considering unlimited internet.
Hint: your permit number is the one on the back of the card (ZEMIS), format 999999999.9
Pad left with 0 if you have less digits.

Re: Salt Christmas offer, 29/month, all unlimited

Not for existing customers on the verge of renewal. Zero flexibility and not even willing to offer me any other bonuses.

Their reception even in built up residential and commercial areas is sub par.
(not as bad as Sunrise I should add)

I just got this subscription because I was having troubles with my Lebara prepaid (which runs on Sunsrise) and everywhere I had good a connection and 4G with Sunrise, I only have 3G and 2 bars with Salt.

I think it definitely depends on location, even though their coverage map says I should have 4G everywhere I need to be. I am already wondering if I should use my 6 week cancellation period with Salt to return to a provider on Sunrise.

Re: Salt Christmas offer, 29/month, all unlimited

I was a Salt pre-paid customer and am still on their mailing list. Today I received an email offering 50% off their "Plus Swiss" pack (unlimited calls in CH, unlimited SMSs and 1Gb 4G data) - all for CHF19/month.

BUT this from their website:

I have a Salt number, can I benefit from the offer?
No, you need to have a prepaid number or a subscription with another operator (Swisscom, Sunrise, etc.)

So loyalty means zilch. Salt customers are shafted in a desperate bid to get new business - and they even mail their customers about it - talk about rubbing Salt in the wound...

Yours,

A Happy Lycamobile customer.

They had offered me something then they asked me to press green tab "Ok, got it". So, I pressed it and then nothing particularly special has happened

Do I still need to renew anything ... pls help

Yes you need to renew your subscription before end of day tomorrow, simples :-)

If you are already in a contract that has a long way to go before it expires then this offer is probably not applicable to you! unless (maybe) you extend it even further.

Re: Salt Christmas offer, 29/month, all unlimited

Is this special offer still available or is it already finished??? Need to get a cell phone plan but can't get one until beginning of January...

Ive heard of the great deals from Salt but have also heard about poor customer service and bad reception... Anyone got some good advice on who to commit the next two years of cell phone service with??? Will need a phone too... definitely an iphone... either 6 or 5s.

Thanks

Re: Salt Christmas offer, 29/month, all unlimited

Just on the phone to them now, as we re-newed in September... but last few bills have been wrong. Turns out that it didn't go through properly and it didn't re-new. You'd think as an apology they'd give us the 50% discount that is advertised online..... but no, it's only if you switch from another provider.

If they weren't so much cheaper than Swisscom, I'd have told them to go jump.

Hence, the reason they don't offer existing customers the deal. There's no need for them to do so, apparently.

Lycamobile...
Agreed, lycamobile uses Swisscom and as most people think all CS is bad, one might as well go with the cheapest!

I was having a prepaid SIM (Salt), called customer service to ask about the offer... the answer was we can apply the offer to your prepaid number but we have to send you a new SIM.

Re: Salt Christmas offer, 29/month, all unlimited

I pay 29 a month with migro (swisscom) but it's only 1gb and I use at least 2 monthly. I rarely use the phone for anything other than Internet, i use Internet Phone for calls and whatsapp for texts. I hesitate to change because of the coverage but maybe it's worth it for the unlimited Internet....

Also I'd have no idea how I would cancel my current phone thingy

Take a look at UPC Cablecom. All their customers contribute to a free WiFi network across Switzerland. Good prices too, mobile phone calling is on the Salt-Orange network. (In the very olden days Cablecom customer service was rubbish, but with UPC management this is no longer true)

Coop Mobile Abo also offer the same. CHF 29.90/Month for unlimited calls, text, data. I am tempted, but with my experience of using ex orange network, I am happy to stay with my M-Budget One and Lycamobile Prepaid..
