There is a new Free TV service over the internet in CH.

Currently running as a beta. I just gave it a try and it works ok as long as you don't want a full screen picture.

Data rate seems to be running at about 300-500kbps.

You need to register with an email address and download a their own player.

They plan to put ads between channel changes. Currently in the beta there are no ads. Not sure if this will work.

Anyway, might be worth a look?

Haha....cool now I can watch TV at work . But in no way a viable TV replacement. The quality is way to low. I dont think the rate is as high as 500kbps, 300kpbs maybe. Thanks for the link though, it will be interesting to see what they do with it.

Looks good , but don't know how they get away with it. I'm sure cablecom and all the local cable suppliers will have something to say about it, in the meantime I will enjoy it
