Re: Sky tv

Most cost effective will be if you have a UK address you can use for the subscription. Then just sign up, get the box, satellite dish and card, bring it all to Switzerland and reinstall here. That way you don't have to pay another company an annual fee to be able to get it.

Technically illegal as far as Sky are concerned, but then so are all the other methods.

Re: Sky tv

Hi,

I would suggest using Now TV will probably get you a lot of what you want. You will need either SmartDNS or VPN but it likely to be a lot cheaper than a sky subscription which makes a Swiss tv licence seem like good value for money.

Sky own Now tv.

Have fun
Martin

Re: Sky tv

Or just buy a 2nd hand box and get basic ftv channels. But you have to check if you are allowed to have a sat dish.

Re: Sky tv

If you use Now TV over here, make sure you use a UK credit or debit card as they use that as proof that you're a British customer.

Also don't use a Chromecast unless you can block the Google DNS numbers to allow the Smart DNS/VPN to be used as otherwise it's geolocked to Swiss pay tv services like Zattoo. Otherwise, the very nice black box will do nicely.
