Which insuarances ?

Hello

I would like to know which insuarance cover some damages such as ( painting , stracth on the oven due to the usage of 2 years usage of apartment ) .
Is that Privat, haftplichtversicherung ( private liability ) or Huasrat Versicherung ?

Durıng the handover apartment period there mıght be some possible complaint about those damages because of the usage so would I be able to ask from my ınsuarances to cover some percantages ? And which one ?

How does the process flow works ? Who send the invoice to whom and how we can receive back the deposit amount from the agency . How long ıt takes to finalize ?

Thank you for your advise

Cheers

Re: Which insuarances ?

If by accident you damage someone elses property, such as the rented apartment, or when bicycling, your HaftpflichtVersicherung will help you. You typically have to pay the first CHF 200,- of any claim.

Search for Haftpflicht: Haftpflichtversicherung, how does this work? [liability insurance]

More expensive is the Hausratversicherung, this will help you if your own property is damaged by fire or water, or stolen. Again, usually, the first CHF 200,-- is your contribution.
Search for Hausrat: Why the Hausratversicherung [home contents insurance] is so cheap

Why couldn't you search the forum before asking a basic question? I did and you can see the result...

Hausrat - Your stuff against damages by others.
Haftpflicht - Other's stuff against damages by you.

Re: Which insuarances ?

What's the 'usual' procedure for making a claim on the liability insurance?

I mean at which point would it be claimed.. We have a fixture in the bathroom which is slightly water damaged (yeah i think a bathroom cabinet should be waterproof!! but anyway) .. IF the agent decides at check out that it's our fault .. Do they get estimates for replacement and they go to the insurer? Does the work get done first? Do they take it from the deposit and I claim for that??

I guess it varies but what's the norm?

Can you pin point the damage to a single specific event or did it happen over time? If the later the insurance will dismiss your claim.

I could pinpoint it suppose ..

I think i posted here 3 years ago about it :-/ The the sink is fitted with a funky looking but totally impractical tap/faucet .. Most of our first time visitors to the toilet come out with wet clothes.. I noticed the warped laminate a month or two after moving in.. I hasn't got drastically worse,

So I could say one of the kids blasted water over it last Tuesday at 15h
