Wingo Mobile

For sure by now everyone must of seen the ads, Wingo is now offering Mobile telephony. On their website it indicates an unlimited plan, that includes data, calls, SMS/MMS, in Switzerland at a cost of CHF 55 monthly.

I am trying to find the "catch" here. Wingo is a SwissCom company as far as I understand, so indirectly they will compete with their own products. Only difference I see is that Wingo offers no devices, however when comparing Wingo to Swisscom's infitiny M package at CHF 99 Per Month, you can save CHF 480 CHF per year.

On their website, it well indicates there are no speed restrictions when it comes to data: "you surf at maximum speed", of course their maximum could well be some others company's average speed.

Thoughts anyone?

Re: Wingo Mobile

I get the same with salt for 39- a month (not the normal price, but they offer that deal regularly) so there is cheaper out there.

Re: Wingo Mobile

I had Orange before and wasn't impressed by the Quality of their Services, to be fair this was 4 years ago, not sure how it is now. Wingo, at least in theory, runs on the Swisscom infrastructure, which I am quite satisfied with.

Re: Wingo Mobile

looks like fair use policy exists. on the site:

Important: Wingo Mobile was designed for normal personal use.

so i think if you put it in a 4g router and watch telly all day they will limit you.
