Just watched the keynote and I can not understand how anyone can not be impressed!!

Been an apple user for the past 15 years and they just get better and better!!

im not impresssed with their european release date... "hopefully by q4 in europe". damn. its a new thing for apple to pre release info about products like that. i was all ready to part with my money on the day of the keynote.

maybe so, if it can be unlocked. but unfortunately she wont have the whole feature set, eg visual voicemail.

well that's carrier-specific so if the providers here ain't carrying it in Q4, you don't get it anyway

well yes, its obviously carrier specific. buy the iphone with the approved partner in your home country, and all features should be available. buy the iphone independently and unlock, and not all features will work. simple.

I'd be buying it for music and specifically video

use a current nokia phone or something. already here and probably much better.

i lost a bit of money on nokia stocks today. they arent my favourite company today. thats all.

I reckon Nokia are great. A friend of mine worked for them and he was dead excited as they gave his own test bench (normally shared on a team). He was testing out the automated communications from a Mercedes that automatically informs the police in case you are not aware that you've just had an accident in your SLK.

It's clear you don't want it but accept that others might. I, for example, would never buy an iPod - until this phone came along.

The prices $499/$599 appear to be UNLATCHED. So unless I buy one on Vonage, I have no problem...

There are still rumors about a full-screen iPod being released that might satisfy your requirements. The penultimate paragraph on this page (link) sums up what is known about this - which is basically nothing more than people's hopes. We'll just have to await the next revelation from the almighty Mr. Jobs, which MAY be Feb 20th according to that same page.

i dont much care for nokia phones. too boring and conservative for me. form factors not exciting etc etc etc. great stock to have held though, because truth be told, that just what a large amount of the people want.
