Guys, I think most of you should have heard about Cablecom's offer to upgrade your internet connection to double speed.
Indeed I did the upgrade and they sent me a written confirmation letter of the upgrade being active.
Now the problem is that I am still on my old speed prior to upgrade( tested by their speed test server), I sent them and they sent me back ensuring that they DID activate my new doubled speed and everything at their side is fine, they also sent me a check list to apply/check on my PC which I did and nothing changed.
Anyways, I am just sharing this with you, wondering if anyone had similar problem, any hints?
For any new settings to be applied to the modem you need to reset it (switched off and on again). As it restarts it will go out to the network and download your new configuration which will include the new speeds.
I did switch off/on and nothing changed. But the trick was connecting my PC via the LAN cable instead of the UBS cable which I was originally using. So anyone would be facing this problem in the future, bear this point in mind as well.
Now its all fine!
Thanks for all of you!
