| | | Top Gear back on tv [new season/series updates]
Hi,
I realise there are a lot of fans in Switzerland of the show...if some colleagues over the years are anything to go by. Also they did start one of their challenges in Basel...so there is a tenious link to Basel.
With all the repeats ...it is hard to know when there is a new series.
Top Gear back on tv 21st of June http://transmission.blogs.topgear.co...-for-take-off/
Have fun
Martin

^His 50" what?
Top Gear, yay. Although this creates a conflict of interest with my Pub Quiz activities - thank goodness for my digital TV recorder thingy. |

Some friends living in Switzerland kept telling me that life was so boring and I never believed them. However having read this thread, it must be true. Top Gear is total dross....

Bumped into Jezza at the BBC and he smelt like an ashtray . Nice guy though.
The Top Gear office is above the "One Show" studio. Had a look round there once and saw a huge white board with the series mapped out and in the corner was..... The Stigs outfit. No Stig though
Cant wait for the show.

Sh3t Gear. I wish they'd get back to reviewing cars and explaining developments, rather than finding a Z list celebrity and racing against the clock, pretending it's interesting.
Ooh look, a Maserati / Ferrari / Aston challenge <yawn>
Playing the theme from Dambusters while Jezza thrases a Bentley through France and spouts bigoted guff is such a unique concept.
Honestly, it's adolescent and tawdry and yet is one of the World's most syndicated and successful 'light entertainment' programmes. Fifth Gear does a better job.
Bring back Tiff, Quentin and saucy Vicki Butler-H. But not Noel Edmonds... | | The following 2 users would like to thank Uncle Max for this useful post: | |

Fifth gear is better!!
The only thing the Fat boy out of the three blokes on top gear does is praise all the cars that a average person could not afford. Anyone can drive a supercar like an idiot on a runway or a blocked off street but how many of us can drive it like that in real life? |

But not Noel Edmonds... | | | | | That's the paradox of the show, many of the non-petrol heads watch it just for the Jezza factor, it is more humourous than 5th Gear which I find that a little flat, and Tiff as interesting as piles. To be honest I liked the old Top Gear, but too many personalities, and not enough programme time put paid to that.
