Thats actually not legal !!

Swisscom keeps a record of which wire goes to which flat in a block of flats, (so that if you give the name of the previous occupant they send the new line striaght to you). As an electrician, we have to send a list of which cables we have moved in the main junction box back to swisscom after every connection we do.

Thanks for the info.. Unfortunately I'm not sure how simple this will be since my flat is new.. so noone knows what the number is. The agency just told me to sort it out with swisscom so I have applied online for a new fixed number..
I haven't heard anything from them yet.. Do you think that this is a bit too long to wait?
I think I asked them to activate it for 13th...
