WLAN AP question

Following on from an earlier thread, seems as though there is quite a bit of experience around this, so would be obliged if the boffin types could give me a pointer.

My trusty old D-Link has given up the ghost, so I need to replace with a new AP. As there is a shitload of these thigs on the market, its got quite confusing, so would like to hear any recommendations on this.

Installling in an apartment 150 sq metres & would enjoy some reach out into the garden. Prime factors for me are security (WPA / WPA2) & ease of install - setup. Price comes a lowly third on decision making criteria.

Thanks in advantage

Re: WLAN AP question

I'd go for something that has a GPL firmware - like a WRT54GL. I have two with Thibor loaded and they're good.

www.linksysinfo.com is I think the site with more information.

Re: WLAN AP question

I bought the afore mentioned linksys for the GFs family, it works well, covering a large apartment in all areas (200sqm+)

Personally I use a Netgear superG
