If I understand the situation right, not all owners notice this - remember posters on forums like AV tends to be the ones who have problems, not the ones who are happy. Also I suspect not all owners would notice in either case, as most people probably view telly in less than ideal light conditions anyway.

Yup, while I consider myself a bit of an AV geek, the guys on AVforums are picky to the point of ludicrousnewss, and I would bet real money that half of them wouldn't notice half of the problems if it wasn't pointed out to them. hehe.

Either way I don't regret my plasma purchase even for a minute, and the next TV I buy will also be plasma, until they stop producing them... the quality simply blows LCD/LED away in my opinion.

Will the Panasonic TX-P50S20E for 1399 chf be a good buy?

I use my TV for:

Sports, Movies and PS3 ?
