Ok I'm confused. I want to get internet in my flat, and I have a little box on the wall that says Cablecom on it followed by a 5 digit number. There doesn't appear to be any sockets associated with it though, apart from a power socket underneath it. Where is the phone supposed to plug in? I can't find a British style phone or TV aerial socket anywhere in the flat, but if I can't get either of these facilities, why is there a Cablecom box?!

It could be covered up by a blank plate (e.g. what you have just said). Cablecom may have to come round. Call Cablecom. Regarding the power socket underneath. May be an older Swiss phone socket (if it has four holes) about a cm apart.

You should first check on the cablecom website if you have a cablecom connection in the building or not.

I think for cablecom you only need a cable socket in the wall. Usually this is in the hall. Cablecom provides you a modem where there is a internet phone port. There you connect the phone to work. There are no cablecon phone socket on the wall as such.
