Moving back to CH in August. Last time we were out there we were with Swisscom for phone and dial up (yes it was a while ago).

What are the best options for landline and internet access in the Aegeri valley? What do people use and how do they find service etc. I'd like internet to be fairly speedy but don't use it for work or anything like that.

TV is not needed we'll bring our own sat box & dish.

Some home owner do not allow satelite dishes if the are visible. If you can not install a dish or you are not able to cancel the TV cable contract because of some reason WWZ is the only option.http://www.wwz.ch/

With digital TV trought the TV cable you will get a higher data transfer and resulution than a TV reception trought the phone wire provided by Swisscom.

There are several companies for Internet and Phone connection, the most reputable are Swisscom, Sunrise, and in my opinion WWZ as well. Pricing is al around the same. And there are some Ripp off companies who give you a price list for calling overseas. While beeing happy with this low costs to call al around the world, of a sudden the comapany is changing the prices without notice.

For peace of mind and if you only need Internet and Phone and dont need any TV cable connectivity, go for Swisscom or Sunrise.
